It’s been a rough couple of days for a few WWE stars as two matches had to be stopped on Friday. R-Truth faced off against Damian Priest on SmackDown, and the match had to be stopped after Truth hit a missile dropkick then didn’t get back up for a while after landing awkwardly.
That same night Shawn Spears, Shiloh Hill, Tavion Heights & Tony D’Angelo faced off against Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo, Charlie Dempsey, Lexis King & Uriah Connors in Canada, and the match also had to be stopped after Stacks was apparently injured while taking a back body drop
The Wrestling Observer is now reporting that although nothing is official just yet, there was fear that Stacks Lorenzo suffered a concussion on Friday when the main event was stopped at the NXT event in Sudbury, ONT.
After the match was stopped Shawn Spears got on the mic and said, “Thank you for coming out tonight. Unfortunately things happen in this ring that are unexpected. You’ve heard us say 1000 times we’re one big family in WWE. You all are included and are a part of our family. When something serious such as this takes place it’s not easy. I’m sorry we had to end the night like this. From the bottom of my heart, thank you all for coming out tonight.”
