It was a big weekend for WWE fans as the Money in the Bank premium live event emanated from the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, LA. The show featured some big matches and Stephanie Vaquer put the WWE Women’s World Championship on the line when she defended the belt against Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan in a triple threat match.
Ultimately Liv Morgan picked up the win at Money in the Bank when she hit Stephanie Vaquer with Oblivion then pinned La Primera to become the new WWE Women’s World Champion.
During this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw, Byron Saxton announced that Stephanie Vaquer was getting checked out due to an injury she suffered at Money in the Bank. Vaquer then made her way out on crutches and said that every time she suffers an injury she always comes back stronger.
Becky Lynch then approached Stephanie Vaquer and told her she’s “got a broke ankle, and no title, and nobody to blame but yourself.” Vaquer then indicated that she won’t be out of action very long as she told The Man that her injury, “is nothing, just a few days.”
It’s not clear at this point if Vaquer’s injury is part of a storyline, or legitimate, but it’s worth noting that the former Women’s World Champion was seen limping after the triple threat match at Money in the Bank.
