The Money in the Bank premium live event is only a few weeks away, and everyone is wondering who will earn a title shot this year. WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select is reporting that some future plans may have been rearranged due to the feedback coming out of Raw in Mexico City, which was headlined by Penta challenging Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship.
At the time that the match was taking place it was relayed to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select that the plan was for Roman Reigns vs. Penta to be a one and done. However, those plans may have changed over the last week.
According to the report several people in WWE creative now believe that a rematch between Roman Reigns and Penta makes sense from a creative standpoint as well as a business standpoint.
Those in creative also pointed to Penta being the heavy favorite to win the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match. It’s being said that a potential Money in the Bank win for Penta could factor into a possible rematch with Roman Reigns. It was also noted that wasn’t the plan for Money in the Bank coming out of SummerSlam in August.
As of right now Penta, Je’Von Evans, Trick Williams and Bron Breakker have all been confirmed for the men’s Money in the Bank match, and two open spots remain.
