The WWE SummerSlam premium live event kicked off with night 1 on Saturday at US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The full results for the event can be seen below.
Liv Morgan vs. Iyo Sky for the WWE Women’s World Championship
Iyo and Liv were both aggressive as soon as the bell rang. The action went to the outside and Iyo tried to get up on the barricade. Liv pulled her off then threw her into the barricade and followed up by throwing Iyo back into the ring.
Liv then took control of the match as the fans chanted “Let’s go Iyo!” Shortly after Iyo Sky made a comeback, but Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez interfered. Roxanne distracted the referee while Raquel pushed Iyo off the top rope. Eventually Iyo had enough of the interference and she took out Raquel and Roxanne with a moonsault off the top rope to the outside.
In the closing moments of the match Liv went for Oblivion and Iyo Sky did a flip then landed on her feet. Liv followed up with a Codebreaker then finally connected with Oblivion and pinned Iyo to retain the title.

The Usos & Jacob Fatu vs. LA Knight, Solo Sikoa & Royce Keys
As the match kicked off Knight, Sikoa and Keys all ran into the ring and started attacking the opposing team as the bell rang. Jey Uso and Solo Sikoa kicked things off properly and Solo knocked Jey down. Solo then looked at the camera and did the run it back hand motion as Jey Uso’s music hit and Solo started to YEET.
Jacob Fatu tagged and Solo mocked him before eating a superkick from the Samoan Werewolf. The Bloodline then isolated Solo in their corner. Jacob knocked LA Knight off the apron with a superkick.
Royce Keys got the hot tag and took the fight to Jimmy Uso as a he hit Big Jim with the World’s Strongest Slam then hit Jey Uso with a spinebuster. Keys hit Jimmy with an avalanche powerslam from the second rope.
Finally Keys tagged in LA Knight who hit Jey Uso with a powerslam and an elbow drop. He went for the BFT, but Jey countered with a spear for a two count.
Solo Sikoa hit the Spinning Solo on Jimmy and Jacob hit the Impaler DDT on Solo. Royce Keys connected with a spinebuster on Jacob and they both went to the outside. Fatu tried to put Keys through the barricade, but Keys grabbed hit and hit a powerslam over the barricade at the last second.
Knight rolled up Jey Uso in the ring, but he kicked out and connected with a spear. Jey tagged in Jimmy who followed up with an Uso Splash for a two count. Jimmy tagged Jey in and they called for the 1-D, but Solo hit Jimmy with the Samoan Spike. As Jey was distracted LA Knight connected with a BFT and pinned Jey to win the match.

Gunther vs. Nick Aldis
Gunther came out first and Nick Aldis made his entrance to “Morning Glory” by Oasis. Gunther took control early on as he repeatedly attacked Aldis with headlocks and chops. The Ring General talked trash to Mickie James who was sitting in the front row then chopped Aldis some more.
Aldis managed to get some strikes in, but Gunther threw him into the corner. Gunther dominated the majority of the match, but Aldis managed to get some offense in when he connected with a superplex. He hit Gunther with a running powerslam for a two count.
Near the end of the match Nick Aldis hit two elbow drops off the top rope then locked in the King’s Lynn Cloverleaf on Gunther. The Ring General got to the bottom rope to break the hold. Gunther followed up with a suplex and powerbomb for a two count.
Gunther locked in the sleeper again and Aldis tried to fight out of it as he got to his feet. The Ring General kept the hold locked in then brought Aldis down to the mat as Aldis tapped out. After the match Nick’s son and Mickie James got in the ring and celebrated with him as the fans gave him a standing ovation.

The Bella Twins & Paige vs. Fatal Influence
Early on the faces dominated the match as they took the fight to Fatal Influence. Brie and Fallon Henley battled in the ring, but Jacey Jayne and Lainey Reid attacked Brie while the referee was distracted. Reid threw her into the ring steps then Jacy ran at Brie and hit her with a cannonball on the steps.
Fatal Influence isolated Brie as they prevented her from tagging in either of her partners. Finally Nikki got the hot tag and she took out all three members of Fatal Influence. She hit Reid with the X-Factor for a two count. Reid rolled Nikki up for a two count.
Nikki connected with the Rack Attack 2.0 on Reid and Jacy Jayne broke up the pin. The Bella Twins tried to hit a double team move, but Fallon Henley pulled Brie out of the ring. Henley and Reid hit Nikki with a double team move and Paige broke up the pin.
Paige tagged in and tried to roll up Jacy Jyne, but she kicked out. Jacy hit the Rolling Encore to win the match.
After the match The Bella Twins turned on Paige and Nikki hit her with the Rack Attack 2.0. As they were leaving Nikki looked in the camera and said, “Don’t ever take my spot.”

CM Punk vs. Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship
Cody Rhodes got a special Street Fighter themed entrance complete with a Guile mask. The fans were clearly behind CM Punk as they chanted his name while he made his entrance and booed Cody during the ring introductions.
Early on in the match CM Punk tried to hit Cody with the GTS, but The American Nightmare got out of it. Shortly after Cody sent Punk to the outside then connected with a dive through the second rope. He threw Punk over the barricade into the timekeeper’s area. Punk hopped up on the barricade then hit Cody with a clothesline.
Punk started selling that his left knee was hurt and Cody targeted the limb. The Second City Saint attempted to put Cody up for another GTS attempt, but he couldn’t get Cody up on his shoulders due to the knee. Cody slowed Punk down as he continued to attack the knee.
CM Punk tried to hit the GTS again, but Cody got out and went for a Disaster Kick, which Punk countered with a kick of his own. Punk went to the top rope and Cody tried to counter, but Punk knocked him off. Punk connected with an elbow drop.
Punk attempted the GTS and Cody got out then followed up with a Cody Cutter for a two count then the Disaster Kick for another two count. Cody connected with a Cody Cutter off the tope and Punk kicked out once again.
Cody tried for the Cross Rhodes, but Punk got out and tried to hit the GTS. Cody countered with a Figure Four, which Punk reversed before getting to the ropes. Rhodes tried for the Figure Four again and Punk countered with the Anaconda Vice. Cody got to the bottom rope.
Punk attempted the GTS, Cody countered with an Alabama Slam, which Punk turned into the Anaconda Vice. Cody broke the hold and hit a Cross Rhodes for a two count.
Cody put Punk on the top rope. Punk knocked him off then countered with a moonsault. Punk hit the GTS, but took too long to pin Cody, so Cody kicked out.
Punk cleared off the announce table. Cody threw him into the steel ring steps. Punk hit the GTS inside the ring and Cody grabbed the bottom rope. CM Punk put Cody on the announce table and went to the top rope. Rhodes moved out of the way and Punk crashed the table as he attempted an elbow drop.
Back in the ring Cody went for a Cody Cutter off the top, but he accidentally hit the referee. Punk hit the GTS and tried for another GTS, but Cody hit the Cross Rhodes, which sent Punk flying out of the ring.
Randy Orton returned out of nowhere and hit Cody with the RKO then left. Punk and the ref got back in the ring and Punk hit the GTS then pinned Cody to retain.
Winner – CM Punk
Oba Femi vs. Brock Lesnar – Hell in a Cell
Oba Femi received a big ovation from the fans as he entered the stadium. Paul Heyman accompanied Brock Lesnar as he made his way down to the ring for the match.
Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi pushed one another to the limit and the match was aggressive from start to finish. Near the end of the match Femi connected with the Fall From Grace as Lesnar kicked out at two. Lesnar hit Femi with the F5 three times, but it wasn’t enough to keep The Ruler down.
The Beast Incarnate ripped up the canvas as he exposed the bare wood underneath it and hit Oba with the Tombstone piledriver on the exposed wood. Femi no sold it and Brock looked shocked as Oba got up. Lesnar tried to hit Oba with a steel chair, but Oba punched it out of his hand, then hit him with the Fall From Grace to win the match.
