You never know who’s going to show up when you watch a WWE show and this week’s episode of NXT featured the return of Grayson Waller who appeared out of nowhere and grabbed a live microphone.
Grayson Waller went off about his main roster career and talked about how he won the WWE Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania 40. He said he felt on top of the world, but then something changed, and the last two years of his career have been an absolute embarrassment. Waller ripped on Austin Theory as he called him “240 pounds of idiot” and added “that Marty Jannetty is still allergic to the microphone.”
Waller said that he’s got demons, and the biggest one is the NXT Championship. He said it’s been keeping him awake at night because it determines the future of the industry, but he never had it, so he gets treated like a Netflix comedy ad. Grayson Waller declared that he’s here to capture the NXT Championship then he set his sights on Cruz Montana.
He ripped on Cruz Montana for being the top guy in TNA Wrestling as he said, “It’s not 2005 anymore, being the top guy in TNA Wrestling is like being the best basketball player at the local YMCA.”
The production crew tried to cut Waller off and he begged Shawn Michaels to send out one of his guys. The fans chanted “HBK!” Waller called the NXT male roster soft, lazy and complacent as he stated that the women are running laps around the men. Grayson told the roster that he’s going to take the title, and the division.
Finally his mic got off so he got up in the camera and said he doesn’t need a mic. He continued to cut his promo as the screen went black and the show went to commercial.
