It’s been a big year for WWE departures as over two dozen names have parted ways with the company. A number of wrestlers were released on April 24, and they had to wait out a standard 90 day non-compete clause before returning to work. Now the wrestling world is about to get an influx of new talent as 11 stars have officially hit free agency.
The following names have completed their 90 day non-compete clause and are now free agents:
– Motor City Machine Guns
– Kairi
– Hijo del Fantasma (Santos Escobar)
– Zoey Serrano (Zoey Stark)
– Aleister Black
– Zelina
– Erick Rowan
– Nikki Storm (Nikki Cross)
– Joseph Sawyer (Joe Gacy)
– Samuel Shaw (Dexter Lumis)
– Bo Dallas
The New Day also parted ways with WWE back in May and the expectation is that they will become free agents in the first week of August. Other names who also parted ways with WWE in May include JC Mateo and Tonga Loa.
At this point it’s not clear what the future holds for the aforementioned free agents, but The New Day and the Motor City Machine Guns have been heavily rumored to be joining AEW.
Santos Escobar also recently indicated that he plans to continue wrestling when he posted the following:
“I gave everything and that’s what was taken. No regrets. Grateful for the people, the places, and circumstances I was put in. I’ll keep growing my legend and my indentation in the industry. Watch me Paul and Nick.”
