WWE has gone through some major changes over the last few years, and those changes have led to a number of departures. Quite a few wrestlers have been released and a number of employees from other departments have also been cut.
A few months ago WWE released over two dozen wrestlers from the active roster, and now the cuts have apparently hit other parts of the company as well.
PWInsider is reporting that multiple WWE employees were let go last week. So far it’s been confirmed that there were 2 to 4 exits in WWE’s social media and digital departments. It’s being said that other employees were let go as well, but so far more details have yet to be confirmed.
It’s not clear at this point in time if more cuts are expected, but if the last few months have proved anything it’s that no one is safe when it comes to this new era of WWE.
Some very surprising names have parted ways with the company, including Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods of The New Day. Big E recently revealed the name that was pitched for an early version of The New Day and you can get more on that here.
