LA Knight has been one of the most talked about stars on the WWE roster in recent weeks, and his promos are often a hot topic among wrestling fans.
Kayla Braxton parted ways with WWE in 2024, but she recently recalled one of her last interview segments which happened to feature LA Knight. While speaking with TMZ’s Inside The Ring, Kayla praised LA Knight for being good at doing his interviews in “one take and done.” She then went on to recall what it was like to interview Knight for the last time.
“He was the one who — my final interview with LA Knight, probably my second last show. Got me in some trouble. And I know, they were backstage like, ‘Did you forget your lines?’ I’m like, ‘No! I didn’t forget my lines, he added a whole new–‘ And with us like, I’m trying to stay on stay on track but he’s just so good on the mic.
“And honestly, I take fault for that because I should have just rolled with it. But I was like, ‘I’m not saying Yeah. I’m not saying it back to you.’ Because in the segment, he was degrading me. So why would I say — I’m thinking as an actor and as a prominent broadcaster in the company, Kayla Braxton wouldn’t sit there and let him talk like that to me, and me be like ‘Yeah!’ So I’m like, ‘I’m not saying it.’”
While talking about the backstage reaction to the interview Kayla Braxton said, “So that’s exactly what my thought process was, and they’re like, ‘Did you forget his tagline?’ Did you think I forgot his tagline? But I didn’t actually get in trouble. No one was mad at it. If anything, I think they just thought it was really funny. But the fans definitely got mad at me. The IWC, I’ll tell you what.”
