Following the WWE Clash in Italy premium live event the brackets for the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments were revealed and fans couldn’t help but notice that Finn Balor was listed as a SmackDown star.
During a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed Finn Balor’s jump to SmackDown and noted that WWE just wanted to get him away from Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh, which would have been harder to do if he remained on Raw.
The idea is to give Finn Balor a fresh start as his feud with The Judgment Day is now officially over, and WWE doesn’t want him to keep interacting with Mysterio and McDonagh.
Recently Finn Balor mentioned several names on the SmackDown brand and questioned whether they will be friends or foes when he posted the following:

Balor is currently set to face off against Jey Uso, LA Knight and Royce Keys in a first round fatal four way match in the King of the Ring tournament.
