Right now all eyes are looking ahead to the WWE Night of Champions premium live event later this month as the show is set to feature the King and Queen of the Ring finals. The tournaments kicked off during this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw, and now it seems that WWE may have already decided who will become the next King of the Ring.
Self Made Pro is reporting that plans call for Roman Reigns to work with Seth Rollins and Oba Femi with one match set for WrestleMania, and the other match set for SummerSlam, depending on whether or not The Rock is willing to work WrestleMania next year. It was also noted that the current plan is for Seth Rollins to win King of the Ring and face Roman Reigns at SummerSlam.
This week on Monday Night Raw, Oba Femi won a fatal four way match to advance to the King of the Ring semifinals, so he will face the winner of Dominik Mysterio vs. Bron Breakker vs. Trick Williams vs. Damian Priest in the semifinals. Rollins is set to face Je’Von Evans, Talla Tonga and Ricky Saints in King of the Ring match that is set to take place in the coming weeks.
Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns have quite the history together as today marks the 12th anniversary of the day Seth Rollins turned on The Shield, and their rivalry has only become even more heated since then.
Rollins seemingly put The Vision in his rearview this week on Raw when he defeated Bron Breakker in the main event. He also made it clear that he has his sights set on The Tribal Chief when he put his one up as the show went off the air.
