The Monday Night Raw brand is loaded with stars right now, and it’s no big secret that SmackDown is in need of a refresh, which could be coming sooner than later.
WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select is reporting that a bit of presentation change is being discussed for the SmackDown brand. According to the report a number of names have been discussed for the SmackDown roster such as Rey Mysterio and former NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne. However, the theme song, logo and set design for Friday Night SmackDown are expected to remain the same.
Jacy Jayne is no stranger to SmackDown as she previously appeared on the blue brand in the summer of 2022 when she entered the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship tournament alongside Gigi Dolin. Unfortunately Jayne and Dolin were forced to drop out of the tournament due to Jayne suffering a concussion.
Rey Mysterio is also no stranger to SmackDown as he was a mainstay on the brand for years before the LWO were drafted to Monday Night Raw in 2024. Mysterio recently stepped into the ring at WrestleMania 42 to compete in a ladder match for the Intercontinental Championship which was ultimately won by Penta.
