WrestleMania 42 has come and gone, and now all eyes are looking ahead to WrestleMania 43. For the first time ever the Show of Shows will emanate from Saudi Arabia next year, but it sounds like WWE officials originally had a different location in mind for the show.

Leaders from the Tennessee Titans and Nashville tourism groups originally said that WrestleMania 43 would be coming to the new Nissan Stadium next April. However, Johnny Maffei of FOX 17 Nashville reached out to the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp who confirmed, “the date didn’t work out, and we are looking at future years.”

Construction on the new Nissan Stadium is expected to be completed in February 2027, and WrestleMania 43 would have been one of the first major events held at the venue.

It was reported back in November of 2022 that Butch Spyridon, CEO of the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp, had received a verbal commitment from WWE to host WrestleMania in 2027, provided the stadium was built within the next five years.

“The minute the mayor’s office and the Titans released the stadium term sheet, we started looking for opportunities. WWE had an incredible experience at Nissan Stadium this past summer, and we started talking. WrestleMania is considered the No. 6 top sports event brand in the world, and we are grateful for their confidence and belief in Nashville,” Butch said.

WWE has remained committed to holding WrestleMania 43 in Saudi Arabia, and there’s currently no word on what locations are being considered for WrestleMania 44 in 2028.
