Roman Reigns competed in his 11th WrestleMania main event on Sunday night and he defeated CM Punk to become the new World Heavyweight Champion. Now that Roman is once again holding championship gold fans are wondering where he will go from here.
It looks like WWE has two big names lined up for Roman Reigns as Bodyslam is reporting sources have indicated that Gunther and Oba Femi are expected to be two of Roman’s upcoming feuds.
Oba Femi teased a potential match with Roman Reigns during the WrestleMania 42 post-show when he said, “I think tomorrow is a celebration. I think in the coming weeks is the establishment of a new main event player. And I think at the end of the year the OTC can get some.”
Later in the post-show Roman Reigns made an appearance and the fan’s chanted “Oba’s gonna kill you.” Reigns smiled and directly addressed Oba Femi when he asked, “Oba, you gonna kill me? You seem still a little fresh in this business. You did a big thing tonight, but I’ve done that many times, and I done it with the title on the line. I took it, I defended it. Let’s see how you do through the summer. Let’s see how you do, and then we’ll know if you can step to the greatest of all time.”
It appears that we’ll be seeing more of Roman Reigns in the months to come as he also teased that his part time status is over and he will be with WWE all summer. Roman Reigns is expected to appear on the Raw after WrestleMania, so it will be interesting to see if his next feud is teased tonight.
