A few weeks ago Ricochet got the wrestling world talking for all the wrong reasons when he responded to a tweet criticizing his acting skills with a tweet of his own which said, “I’m glad you got MS.” The tweet was later deleted and Ricochet issued an apology.
As the situation was playing out many fans were wondering if anyone from AEW had stepped in to address the situation. Following AEW Dynasty, Tony Khan was asked if he had talked to Ricochet about the tweet during the post-show media scrum, and he confirmed that they had a “frank talk.”
“I did, and I had a conversation with him. I have a good conversation and a frank talk. That was not acceptable, and I think that was communicated. We have a policy and continues to be a policy in place for such things, and that violated it. There is no place for that in wrestling or anywhere. I do appreciate you asking, and we’ve tried to move past that, but thank you for asking.”
Ricochet was in action at the AEW Dynasty pay-per-view on Sunday night as he defeated Chris Jericho in Jericho’s first match since the 2025 Dynasty pay-per-view in April of last year.
Jericho recently returned to AEW a few weeks ago, so it will be interesting to see where he goes from here after losing his return match.
