Social media has become a powerful tool in the world of professional wrestling as it allows wrestlers to directly connect with their fans. Ricochet is constantly engaging with fans on X, but many of his exchanges with the fans have been quite negative in nature.
Earlier this week Ricochet became a trending topic when he responded to a fan who said his acting hasn’t improved with a tweet which said, “I’m glad you got MS.”
The response received quite the reaction from fans on social media and Ricochet later apologized when he posted the following:
“I took out my hatred for the IWC on Sandi, and inadvertently others who are effected by MS. She didnt deserve it and for that, I sincerely apologize. Moving forward I’ll do better.”
In the Wrestling Observer forum Bryan Alvarez implied that Ricochet is in hot water with AEW management when he wrote, “If he’s crossing his fingers, it’s hoping he’s still employed by the end of the week.”
As of this writing it’s not clear how, or if, AEW management will be addressing the situation with Ricochet as the company has yet to issue any type of public statement.
