WWE Brand Gets New General Manager

A number of WWE brands have been going through changes as of late. Back in February, Ava announced her departure from the company which temporarily left the NXT brand without a General Manager. Following Ava’s departure, Mr. Stone was named Interim General Manager of NXT, and he has since stepped up to meet the demands of the role.

Ahead of this week’s episode of WWE Evolve it was teased that the show would kick off with a special announcement, and Robert Stone made his way out to the ring. Stone said that he and Shawn Michaels put their minds together and came up with the perfect person to run Evolve. Stone then introduced Timothy Thatcher as the new WWE Evolve General Manager.

Stone told Thatcher that he’ll be going all around the world to scout talent to enhance Evolve, and that’s why he’s going to be the perfect General Manager for the brand.

Shortly after the announcement was made Robert Stone took to social media to post the following:

“Even though he refused the pound of Stone saying a handshake is the more old school way…it was a pleasure officially naming Timothy Thatcher the new GM of Evolve.

Timothy is a different breed. A guy who won’t wear knee pads because, in his words, that means you’ve got weak knees. A guy who doesn’t do social media… doesn’t even own a phone or a TV.

Which, honestly, makes him the perfect man for the job.

This place is special. Evolve has already produced legitimate NXT superstars and helped shape the future of this industry. It needed real authority and Thatcher is beyond the right man for it.

I knew he was special ever since the first time I met him at Southside Wrestling in England back in 2015.
