Last year during WrestleMania season it was announced that WWE had reached an agreement to acquire AAA, and now it seems that one AAA star has been fired following an altercation with a fan.
Bodyslam is reporting that Niño Hamburguesa has been released from his contract with AAA after a clip of Hamburguesa striking a fan at an independent event went viral on social media. He was notified of his termination via Zoom and The Undertaker was the one who informed him he was being let go according to Cory Hays.
Some fans indicated that the fan had provoked Hamburguesa, but it’s being said that the viral clip, which shows him sitting on the fan’s lap, then striking him repeatedly, did Hamburguesa no favors. One account is claiming that the fan said something to Hamburguesa when he slipped on the ropes while trying to climb up, which may have been the reason he lashed out. AAA talent had been informed that they were allowed to take independent bookings under the condition that they keep things professional.
Luchablog is also reporting that Niño Hamburguesa has been fired and other AAA wrestlers were told he was gone on Friday. It was also noted that under prior ownership he would’ve been scolded in private, but standards and expectations have changed.
Different world. Would've gotten a private scolding and a slight de-push under prior ownership, and through most of the history of Mexican wrestling. Standards and expectations have changed. Everyone's got to know.

As of this writing neither WWE nor AAA have released any type of statement regarding the incident, or Niño Hamburguesa’s status with the company. Stay tuned for updates.
