A number of wrestlers have been released from WWE over the last few years and back in May of 2025 it was confirmed that Dakota Kai had been let go. Dakota Kai last wrestled on WWE programming on the 3/24/25 episode of Main Event when she defeated Ivy Nile. Fans had been patiently waiting for her return and it finally happened on Sunday night.
Now known as Charlie, the former Dakota Kai finally returned to the ring when she faced off against Kris Statlander at EVE: Wrestle Queendom VIII at the Indigo At The O2 in London, England. Statlander ended up picking up the win over Charlie. Prior to her return it had been 349 days since Charlie last wrestled a match.

At one point during the match Charlie paid tribute to Bayley when she hit Statlander with the Bayley to Belly.

At this point it’s not clear when Charlie might step into the ring again, but it seems that her return has been well received.
