This week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown kicked off with Jey Uso being stretchered into an ambulance. As SmackDown continued on Logan Paul and Jacob Fatu both suggested that they should take Jey’s place in the Elimination Chamber. Nick Aldis booked Jacob Fatu vs. Logan Paul for the main event and Logan Paul managed to pick up the victory.
At one point Paul Heyman got up on the mat and distracted the referee as Logan Paul hit Jacob Fatu with a low blow. Paul followed up with a Frog Splash, but Fatu kicked out.
Shortly after Fatu kicked out, the masked man appeared outside the ring and hit Austin Theory with a superkick followed by the Curb Stomp. Logan Paul rolled to the outside and hit the masked man with a right hand then unmasked him. It turned out to be just some random guy. Logan Paul and Paul Heyman asked, “Who are you?” Security showed up and took him away as the commentators questioned if that was really the masked man.
Fatu hit Logan Paul with a Samoan Drop then went to the top rope for a moonsault, but Drew McIntyre appeared out of nowhere and hit Fatu with the WWE Championship. Logan Paul followed up with a right hand to win the match to qualify for the Elimination Chamber.
Last month the masked man appeared at the Royal Rumble when he attacked Bron Breakker before Breakker could enter the Royal Rumble match. In the weeks that followed the masked man had been attacking members of The Vision, but it was recently reported that the masked man storyline was set to undergo heavy rewrites now that Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed are sidelined due to injury.
