In recent years a number of former AEW stars have made the jump to WWE and Penta made his debut with the company in January of 2025. There’s no denying that Penta has formed a connection with the WWE fans and it seems that Paul Heyman has taken notice.
In season two of WWE Unreal, Paul Heyman was shown in the writers room praising Penta when he said, “I know we said this in advance. I know we said this once he debuted, but we got something with this f*****g Penta. Here are two things over time that you learn. You listen to the star pop when they come out, but you understand it’s just a star pop. In the match, when they’re selling and they start to come up, what’s the reaction?
Because that’s when they have to care about you to make your comeback. It’s those 30 seconds, and you’re selling, and you’re coming up, it’s like, ‘I need to do this. I need to’ and they rally behind you. Penta is over like a motherf****r.”
While speaking with The Sportster at WWE 2K26 Creator Fest, Penta was asked about Paul Heyman’s praise and he explained what it means to him to be on The Oracle’s radar.
“Bro, to be honest with you, Paul Heyman means everything about this sport. He knows everything you need to become a big star and everything. So, I say, ‘Thank you for the speech about Penta.’ I feel so proud about me. I feel so proud about all my people, all my fans, and I start work, man. I’ll keep going, hard work.”
Penta will have a chance to capture gold next week as he’s currently set to challenge Dominik Mysterio for the WWE Intercontinental Championship on Raw. Stay tuned for updates.
