Rey Mysterio has been one of the top stars in WWE, but at the age of 51 years old it’s clear that the former World Heavyweight Champion has more matches behind him than he does ahead of him. Mysterio has done just about all there is to do in this business, but there are always new avenues for him to explore.
During a recent appearance on What Do You Wanna Talk About? with Cody Rhodes, Rey Mysterio was asked if he knows what his next goal is and he said, “I mean, not really. I pretty much have seen more than I could imagine with the growth of Dom and his evolution here in the sport, and how he’s grown, and how he’s become his individual self, and the place that he’s carrying and taking the name to, which I always deep down inside thought that he would be bigger and better than me in a different way.”
Rey then went on to say that he thinks it would be fun to take on a behind the scenes role with AAA when he added, “But overall, I think it might be fun to help with the acquisition with AAA and be involved as much as I can with that. And kind of start learning on how to work on the production side or how I can invest my time to eventually help AAA grow.
Knowing that that was my house, my very first house or my home from day one. And from there, it all started. Everything flourished from AAA. But I’m still enjoying the moment.”
