This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite aired live from the Toyota Arena in Ontario, California and the show featured a big title match. Tommaso Ciampa put his TNT Championship on the line when he defended the belt against Kyle Fletcher and The Protostar walked out with the belt.
Tommaso Ciampa made his big debut with All Elite Wrestling on the January 28 episode of AEW Dynamite after parting ways with WWE. He immediately made it clear that he wanted a shot at Mark Briscoe’s TNT Championship, then he went on to defeat Briscoe to win the belt on the January 31 episode of Collision.
However, Tommaso Ciampa’s run with the title came to an end on Wednesday night as Kyle Fletcher picked up the win to become a two time TNT Champion on Dynamite.

After the match Renee Paquette interviewed Kyle Fletcher and he said that he promised he would come home with the TNT Championship, and that’s what he’s going to do at Grand Slam Australia. Fletcher announced that he would be putting the title on the line against anyone from anywhere.
Mark Briscoe’s music hit and the former champion said pointed out that he and Fletcher are 3 and 3. He told Kyle Fletcher that he’d be happy to give him home court advantage for game 7 if he’s not scared.
Fletcher said he’s tired of Briscoe, but accepted the match on the condition that it will be the final chapter in their story. He told Mark Briscoe that he will have to reach for the sky because the TNT Championship will be defended in a ladder match.
