WWE is constantly expanding and the company expanded in a big way in 2025. In addition to announcing their acquisition of AAA, WWE also launched another brand under the Evolve banner.
Evolve airs Wednesday nights on Tubi, and the show features a commentary team which is made up of Peter Rosenberg and Robert Stone. However, it seems that changes are coming for the Evolve commentary team as Robert Stone will no longer be calling the action on the show.
Robert Stone confirmed today that moving forward he will be focusing on his role as the Interim NXT General Manager, which means he will be stepping away from the commentary table after this week’s episode of Evolve. Stone posted the following announcement:
“After the chaos that went down last night on NXT, it’s clear I need to put my full focus on my role as Interim NXT General Manager.
With that said, tonight will sadly be my final night analyzing the action on #WWEEvolve
What an incredible 1st year for the show.

Last month Ava announced her departure from WWE when she confirmed that she decided not to renew her contract with the company. During last week’s episode of NXT, Shawn Michaels named Robert Stone the new Interim NXT General Manager and it appears that he will be in that role for the foreseeable future.
