Monday Night Raw kicked off in a big way on Monday night as the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch made her way to the ring. Lynch was furious as she told the fans that there’s only so much disrespect that one woman can take.
Becky Lynch addressed the fact that AJ Lee was in the house and AJ’s music hit while Becky was heaving a meltdown. The Man asked AJ what she was doing on her show, and AJ said she wasn’t there for Becky, she was at Raw to support Maxxine Dupri then hang out in catering.
The Women’s Intercontinental Champion accused AJ Lee of ruining her life then AJ brought up her she beat her at WrestlePalooza and WarGames, then cost Becky her title at Madison Square Garden.
Becky asked AJ what it’s going to take to get rid of her, and she teased a potential match at Elimination Chamber in Chicago. AJ pointed out that she hasn’t had a singles match in over a decade, so it would have to be really worth it. Lee suggested that if she beats Becky it will make her number one contender then Becky freaked out and started shouting “no!” AJ told her, “no title, no match,” so Becky agreed.
Lynch finished up by telling AJ Lee that if she thought she was held down by the man before she left, she has no idea what’s she in for. Becky welcomed AJ to the big time then threw the mic down and left.
AJ Lee last stepped into the ring at Survivor Series in November of 2025 when she joined Team Rhea for the women’s WarGames match. As she pointed out this will be her first singles match in over ten years as her last singles match took place on the 3/16/2015 episode of Raw when she faced off against Nikki Bella.
