AJ Styles stepped into the ring at the Royal Rumble last month and his in-ring career officially came to an end when he was defeated by Gunther. Throughout the course of his career AJ Styles feuded with some of the biggest names in the business, including Roman Reigns.
Following his retirement AJ Styles appeared on What’s Your Story? with Stephanie McMahon, and Roman Reigns shared a very special message for his former rival during the show.
“Hell of a worker. Hell of a teammate. Just a old a** video game brother, but that that reflects I think on who he is as a person, the discipline that he has. Being involved in professional wrestling, being on the road, but continuing to stay true to being a family man, and being a father.
I’m just happy that I was able to make some art with him when our time came a few years ago. It would’ve been cool to run it back and do it again and explore new chapters with what we could do together because there’s phenomenal chemistry there. Big Allen have fun, and be safe brother, and we’ll see you down the road.”
