The last few weeks have been eventful for the NXT brand as Oba Femi relinquished the NXT Championship, and NXT General Manager Ava announced her departure from WWE.
As soon as this week’s episode of NXT kicked off Mr. Stone approached Shawn Michaels in his office. HBK told Stone that he’s always done everything that was asked of him, and he informed Mr. Stone that he is new interim NXT General Manager.

At this point in time it’s not clear how long Mr. Stone’s run as NXT General Manager will last as his interim status obviously indicates that WWE will be looking to find a permanent replacement for Ava in the future.
Last week Ava issued a statement confirmed that her appearance on last week’s episode of NXT was her last, and that she decided not to renew her WWE contract.
Ava’s status became a hot topic on social media over the last few days as she broke her silence on Twitter after parting ways with WWE, then she proceeded to delete her account. It was recently reported that Ava is expected to work with her parents following her WWE departure.
