Chris Jericho’s status with AEW has been a very hot topic over the last few months as it was rumored that the former AEW World Champion would be finishing up with the company at the end of 2025. Since then there’s been a lot of talk about a possible WWE return for Jericho, but so far it hasn’t happened yet.
Fightful Select is reporting that Chris Jericho was never brought up for the January 5th episode of Raw last month, and as fans saw over the weekend he was not a participant in the men’s Royal Rumble match.
It was noted that Chris Jericho has not been factored into WWE’s plans. There is interest in Jericho when he becomes available, but as of right now he’s not a free agent yet.
According to the report Jericho is still under contract with All Elite Wrestling. He signed a contract with AEW in 2022 that was set to take him through 2025, but pro wrestling organizations are not obligated to disclose information regarding contracts being extended or frozen. As of this writing Jericho is still being featured on the AEW roster page.
