We’re officially on the road to WrestleMania as the Royal Rumble aired live from Saudi Arabia over the weekend. Liv Morgan won the women’s Royal Rumble match and Roman Reigns punched his ticket to WrestleMania when he won the men’s Royal Rumble match.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that as right now the plan for WrestleMania is CM Punk vs. Roman Reigns and Drew McIntyre vs. Cody Rhodes. It’s also being reported that Jacob Fatu could be added to the Reigns vs. McIntyre.
Cody Rhodes has been feuding with Drew McIntyre since August and last month Drew finally managed to defeat Cody to become the new Undisputed WWE Champion. Drew successfully retained his Undisputed WWE Championship against Sami Zayn at the Royal Rumble and he interfered in the men’s Royal Rumble later in the night when he eliminated The American Nightmare from the match.
Roman Reigns and CM Punk clashed last year in the WrestleMania main event when they faced off in a triple threat match that included Seth Rollins. However, Punk and Reigns have not faced off in a one on one match since Punk returned to the company in 2023.
