Over the weekend Dominik Mysterio stepped into the ring at AAA Guerra De Titanes and he teamed with El Grande Americano to take on Rey Mysterio and Rey Fenix. Ultimately Rey Mysterio picked up the win for his team when he pinned Dominik, and it was later reported that Dominik had injured his shoulder during the match.
During a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Byran Alvarez noted that Dominik landed on his shoulder while taking a DDT from Rey Mysterio which is believed to be when the injury happened. Dave Meltzer also noted that Dominik is expected to get examined this week.
“He was hurting today, and he is gonna get examined. You know normally he would go to TV and get examined, but there’s no TV until a week from Monday. I was told he is getting examined at some point this week, probably by a doctor there to see what’s wrong with his shoulde. It’s premature to say anything, as far as like the severity of it, but it’s the same thing you know, I mean shoulder injuries are very, very common.”
“It’s probably not a good thing. Penta was touch and go, you know Seth needed surgery. Hopefully he doesn’t need surgery right now. That would put him out for months, if he did that. Right now we don’t know, but the injury is legit.”
This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw was taped last week, but Raw is set to air live from the Kia Center in Orlando, FL next week, so it will be interesting to see if Dominik appears on the show.
Stay tuned for updates.
