The Last Time Is Now Tournament kicked off weeks ago and a number of WWE stars stepped up as they tried to earn the opportunity to face John Cena in his final match. It came down to Gunther and LA Knight who faced off in the finals this week on Friday Night SmackDown with Gunther ultimately picking up the victory.
The Ring General will now go on to face John Cena in his final match at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13th, and Cena commented on the match when he posted the following:
“The stage is set for One Last Match. On a night of epic proportions, it is an honor to face off against an opponent who I respect and who has earned the right to issue this final challenge! I will bring my best, I know he will do the same! Don’t miss the Final Time! #SNME

It was also announced during SmackDown that the winner of Oba Femi vs. Ricky Starks at NXT Deadline will go on to face Cody Rhodes at Saturday Night’s Main Event and Bayley will be facing Sol Ruca as well.
