The landscape of WWE has changed drastically over the last few weeks as Seth Rollins suffered a shoulder injury during his match with Cody Rhodes at Crown Jewel. Due to the industry, Rollins had to undergo surgery and vacate the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

During a recent appearance on Good Morning Football, Seth Rollins confirmed that he will be sidelined for six months when he said, “Six months. My world championship is going to be worn by some schmuck, either Jey Uso or CM Punk. It’s awful. It really is the Halloween scaries guys.”

With Seth Rollins on the shelf for six months it appears that he is unlikely to be part of the WrestleMania card next year. WWE will have to make some big adjustments as it was recently reported that Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns was tentatively planned for the Grandest Stage of Them All next year.

The Visionary was written off TV a few weeks ago when Bron Breakker speared him then Bronson Reed proceeded to join in on the beatdown. Rollins now has a built in storyline for his return as it’s probably safe to say that he will be looking for revenge once he’s cleared for in-ring competition.

As for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, Jey Uso and CM Punk are set to face off for the vacant championship at Saturday Night’s Main Event, so we’re guaranteed to see a new champion crowned this weekend.

Stay tuned for updates.
