Last week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown featured a huge main event as Tiffany Stratton defended her WWE Women’s Championship against Nia Jax and Jade Cargill in a triple threat match.

At one point during the match Jade Cargill got busted open after Nia Jax threw her into the stairs. Near the end of the match Cargill pinned Nia Jax, and Jax kicked out. Tiffany Stratton then knocked Jade off of Nia, and Stratton pinned Nia Jax herself, but the referee didn’t count to three despite the fact that Nia didn’t kick out.

Fightful Select reports that Tiffany Stratton was late to break up Jade Cargill’s pin on Nia Jax, so Jax had to kick out. It’s unclear why the referee didn’t count to three once Tiffany pinned Nia as that was apparently supposed to be the finish for the main event. It’s being said that details regarding how things played out are foggy as multiple things were claimed internally.

According to the report Jade Cargill was not supposed to get busted open. However, she was said to have handled it well and the wound was taken care of. Following the match Jade was said to be ok and in good spirits, but she may not step into the ring to wrestle this week.

Tiffany Stratton is now focused on her upcoming match at Crown Jewel as she is set to face off against Stephanie Vaquer in a match for the WWE Women’s Crown Jewel Championship.

Stay tuned for updates.
