There have been a number of breakout stars over the last few years and Joe Hendry has certainly made a name for himself. While Hendry has managed to become one of the top stars in TNA Wrestling, he’s been featured more prominently on NXT in recent months.
The Takedown on SI is reporting that Joe Hendry is in the process of being largely phased out of TNA programming and integrated into WWE TV. The internal expectation in both companies is that Joe Hendry is WWE bound, and will be with the company in a full-time basis by the beginning of 2026.
TNA Wrestling President Carlos Silva has confirmed to The Takedown on SI that Joe Hendry is still currently signed with the promotion, and that Hendry’s appearances on WWE programming are being coordinated as part of the partnership between the two companies.
It was also noted that out of Hendry’s last 8 matches only one of them has been under the TNA Wrestling umbrella. This doesn’t mean that Hendry won’t be used by TNA Wrestling moving forward, but the expectation is that fans will be seeing more of him in NXT.
Earlier this year Hendry made his WWE main roster debut when he entered the Royal Rumble, and he went on to face Randy Orton at WrestleMania 41. One way or another it will be interesting to see how WWE uses Joe Hendry once he’s officially on the roster.
