It’s shaping up to be a huge weekend for wrestling fans as the AEW All Out PPV and WWE WrestlePalooza PLE are both set to air live on Saturday, September 20th. WWE has been hyping WrestlePalooza up as a big show in recent weeks, and it looks like WrestlePalooza will likely become a regular event in the years to come.

Fightful Select reports that WWE hopes to make WrestlePalooza a major event moving forward. Earlier this year it was reported that WWE considered the idea of doing two WrestleManias in a year for the Saudi Arabia deal. One of the two shows would have been branded “Super WrestleMania” or something similar, but Saudi Arabia made it clear that they wanted “the” WrestleMania.

It’s being said that this a big reason why WWE is going heavy into the branding with WrestlePalooza, and will continue to do so in the future. Sources noted that WrestlePalooza is being looked at as something that can help fill the gap in the future during years when WrestleMania takes place outside of North America.

The WrestlePalooza name was previously used by ECW, and F1rst Wrestling also had the trademark in recent years. A source noted that the idea to use the WrestlePalooza branding likely came from Nick Khan as he had been a big fan of ECW when he was younger.
