Andrade has been one of the most talked about stars in the wrestling world recently as it was reported over the weekend that the former United States Champion had effectively been released from his contract. According to reports, Andrade had at least one wellness policy violation during his latest run with the company, and it’s being said that he was fired due to a disciplinary issue.

During a recent episode of his Hall of Fame podcast Booker T addressed Andrade’s WWE departure, and he praised Andrade for being a good worker while pointing out that the company seemingly wasn’t using him a lot.

“I don’t know what happened. But I know since Andrade came back, he really hadn’t been used a whole lot. I haven’t really seen Andrade out there doing his thing. I always thought Andrade was a really, really good worker. I always thought Andrade kinda tipped his hand a little bit too early on how good he really was from a luchador perspective, because he had the American style pretty much down and then he started flying and doing stuff, I was like, ‘Wow, this guy’s really, really good.’

“Do you think maybe he might just be relocated to AAA? I think he had something to do with the AAA show, I saw him on some of the press stuff that they were doing with some of the other guys, Rey Mysterio and those guys. I definitely think a guy like that is too good of a worker to just say, ‘Ah, let’s forget about him and throw him out to pasture.’ I think he would definitely be good for AAA and what they’re doing over there.”

While talking about what might have held Andrade back in WWE, Booker T added, “Not being able to speak English fluent (holds you back), it really does. That’s why a guy like Eddie (Guerrero) went so far in the business, because he was fluent in Spanish as well as English. So I think that might have held Andrade back just a little bit. I know I might get a little bit of heat for that but I think I’m speaking the truth.”
