It’s safe to say that this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown was one of the most anticipated episodes in some time as it was heavily rumored ahead of the show that AJ Lee would be making her return.
During the main event segment CM Punk confronted Becky Lynch, and The Man decided once again to slap CM Punk across the face. The Second City Saint then stepped out of the ring and AJ Lee’s music hit to massive ovation from the Chicago fans. AJ Lee then proceeded to skip her way to the ring and she attacked Becky Lynch before Becky retreated as the show went off the air.
Bodyslam.net is reporting that AJ Lee signed a full-time contract with WWE and it is a multi-year deal. It’s being said that this is not just a one-off and AJ Lee is back for real.
It’s been reported that CM Punk and AJ Lee will be facing off against Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch in a tag team match at WrestlePalooza, and now the match is all but confirmed.
After AJ Lee returned to television for the first time in 10 years Triple H confirmed that she has signed a new contract when he posted the following video on social media:
