John Cena kicked off his retirement tour back in January, and it’s been interesting to say the least. Heading into Clash in Paris on Sunday, John Cena only had 9 more appearances left on his farewell tour and he faced off against Logan Paul at the premium live event.
Cena received a big ovation from the French fans and they sang his entrance music as he made his way to the ring. As soon as he got in the ring he asked for the music to be cut so he could hear the reaction from the fans.
At one point Logan Paul went for a Frog Splash, but Cena got his legs up. Cena connected with the Attitude Adjustment, but Logan Paul kicked out at two. John Cena went for AA again and Logan Paul got out of it then applied the Octopus submission hold. Cena managed to work his way out of it and he followed up by locking in the STF on Logan Paul who got out of it then walked into a Tornado DDT from Cena.
When Logan Paul got up Cena went for another AA. Logan Paul reversed it and slammed Cena face first into the mat with an Overbomb. Paul went for his knockout punch only for Cena to dodge it and Logan connected with a Zig Zag for a two count.
Logan Paul tried everything as he attempted to put Cena away, but it wasn’t enough. He hit a few shoulder tackles then attempted to do Cena’s Five Knuckle Shuffle. However, Cena hopped up and caught Logan Paul with an Attitude Adjustment when he ran off the ropes. Paul managed to somehow kick out at two.
Cena connected with a hurricanrana followed by Code Red and Paul kicked out. Finally Logan Paul landed the knockout punch, but John got his shoulder up at the count of two.
Logan went to the top for another Frog Splash and immediately hit a second one after the first. Cena still kicked out. Paul went for the Five Knuckle Shuffle again and finally landed it. He picked Cena up for the Attitude Adjustment, but Cena rolled through and hit the Styles Clash for a two count.
Cena placed Logan Paul on the top rope for an Avalanche Attitude Adjustment. Logan Paul fought him off and went for a crossbody. Cena rolled through and put him back on his shoulders. He connected with the Attitude Adjustment then went for another one. Logan Paul connected with the knockout punch, but Cena powered through and hit another Attitude Adjustment to win the match.
