The wrestling landscape has changed quite a bit since AEW first launched in 2019, and a number of familiar names from WWE have jumped to the company. Mercedes Mone officially debuted with AEW in 2024, and she has since become one of the top stars on the roster.

Recently there’s been a lot of talk about WWE counter-programming AEW as WWE recently announced that the upcoming Wrestlepalooza PLE will go head to head with AEW’s All Out PPV on Saturday, September 20th.

Mercedes Mone was asked to share her thoughts on WWE counter-programming AEW shows during an interview with TV Insider, and the current TBS Champion made it clear that she thinks AEW has the superior product right now.

“I don’t watch them. I don’t care about them. I’m “Eight Belts Moné.” I’m a champion of so many different companies. So, the more the merrier. If they want to put on wrestling shows while we have wrestling shows, I’m always going to be better. I’m always better. That’s why I call myself “The CEO.” They can keep on doing whatever they want to do, but AEW is taking over. If you want to watch the best, good wrestling, watch AEW.”
