This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw aired live from Quebec City and originally Naomi was supposed to defend her WWE Women’s World Championship against Iyo Sky during the show. However, a few hours before Raw went live WWE announced that Naomi was not medically cleared to compete.
PWInsider is reporting that Noami was backstage at Raw in Quebec City before the show, so WWE’s announcement regarding Naomi being pulled from her scheduled match had nothing to do with travel issues. It’s not clear if Naomi was still backstage when the show went on the air, but it’s being said that the reason Naomi was pulled from Raw was kept very quiet.
Bryan Alvarez also noted on Wrestling Observer Live that there’s a rumor going around about what’s going on with Naomi, and if the rumor about what’s going on is true then Naomi will likely be out of action for what Alvarez described as a “long, long time.”
Naomi last stepped into the ring during night 2 of SummerSlam on August 3rd when she successfully defended her WWE Women’s World Championship against Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky in a triple threat match.
