WWE has launched a number of shows over the last few years and in 2024 a new show called WWE Speed debuted on X. Matches for the show featured a time limit for each match and were typically taped before Raw or SmackDown then later aired on the X social media platform. However, it seems that the show may have been quietly cancelled.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that WWE Speed appears to be done as the company has not aired a new episode since July 9th, and the titles have been forgotten.
It was speculated that the deal with X probably expired. At this point in time it’s not clear if the deal will be renewed, or if the show could return at some point in the future.
Those who were asked about the show didn’t know one way or another, and basically gave the impression that the show was so insignificant that no one talked about it. Officially there’s been no word.
The report also noted that without the WWE Speed title belts there are still 21 championships under the WWE banner including WWE ID and Evolve titles. It was speculated that the WWE ID titles likely won’t be talked about on TV.
