The road to WrestleMania was full of twists and turns this year and things got heated when Charlotte Flair and Tiffany Stratton came face to face during a promo segment on the April 4th episode of SmackDown.

Tiffany Stratton went off script during the promo and referenced Charlotte’s divorce record. The champion got the world talking when she quipped, “When I beat you at WrestleMania, Charlotte, you’re gonna be just like you are outside of the ring, alone. What is that record? Like, what, 0-3?”

In the new WWE Unreal series on Netflix, the issues between Stratton and Flair were highlighted, and Michael Hayes indicated that there was tension between the two stars heading into the segment as he said, “She stepped on Tiffany in a way that wasn’t good for the story, and I think that put Tiffany on notice, and there were some real personal things that were said.”

After the segment Triple H asked Tiffany Stratton if all of that was on script. When Stratton told him no The Game asked which part wasn’t in the script, and Stratton said, “The go-home lines, after they booed the s*** out of her.”

Triple H then went to sit back down in Gorilla position and it was confirmed to him that Charlotte Flair was upset about the divorce line, which wasn’t originally in the promo.

“I need Tiffany to understand that’s obviously not how we do this, right. So, she needs to go to Charlotte and apologize, and they need to get on the same page,” Triple H said.

Tiffany Stratton ultimately went on to successfully defend her WWE Women’s Championship against Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 41. However, it seems that their feud did indeed become deeply personal on the road to the Show of Shows. Charlotte Flair recently revealed her honest reaction to Stratton going off script, and you can get more on that here.
