In recent years a number of wrestling stars have crossed over into Hollywood. There’s a lot of anticipation ahead of the Happy Gilmore 2 premiere on Netflix as both MJF and Becky Lynch appear in the film.
Recently MJF appeared on Busted Open Radio, and he showed support for Becky Lynch as he made it clear that he’s a big fan of the current WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion. However, MJF also made it clear that he’s not a big fan of Becky’s SummerSlam opponent Lyra Valkyria.
“Becky Lynch wrestles for a different company, she wrestles for a promotion called World Wrestling Entertainment. I’m a big fan of Becky Lynch. Hate that Lyra (Valkyria) girl. I agree with Becky, she stinks.”
“I’m a staunch Becky Lynch supporter, if you have an issue with Becky Lynch, I have an issue with you. I’m not into this Lyra chick, something’s up with her. She’s probably a bad person.”
Becky Lynch will be defending her title sooner than later as it’s been confirmed that The Man will be putting the title on the line when she faces Lyra Valkyria at the first ever two night SummerSlam. Recently it was confirmed that the bout will be a no disqualification match, and if Lyra loses she will not be able to challenge for the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship as long as Becky is the champion.
