The last few weeks have been packed with big events and the Evolution premium live event emanated from Atlanta, GA earlier this month. In the weeks leading up to the event fans wondered if Saraya could potentially appear during the show now that she’s a free agent. Some interesting names ended up returning to the ring such as Nikki Bella and Trish Stratus, but Saraya was nowhere to be found.
According to Bodyslam.net there were never any discussions about having Saraya appear at Evolution. It’s also being reported that there have been no discussions regarding Saraya returning to the ring as Paige in WWE.
Saraya first signed with WWE in 2011 and went on to become the inaugural NXT Women’s Champion. She later won the WWE Divas Championship in her debut match on the main roster the night after WrestleMania 30. Unfortunately Saraya had to retire due to injury in 2017, and she parted ways with WWE in 2022 when her contract expired.
Following her WWE departure Saraya signed with AEW and returned to the ring a few months after her debut. She went on to win the AEW Women’s Championship at the All In pay-per-view in 2023, and she finished up with the company earlier this year. Saraya has indicated in interviews that she’s open to returning to WWE, but there doesn’t seem to be any movement at this point in time.
