corey graves

You never know what’s going to happen in the world of WWE and recently the company shuffled the deck once again. Corey Graves was moved to the NXT commentary team last week, and he recently took to social media to openly express frustration with the move.

Fightful Select is reporting that the word going around last week was that Graves wasn’t happy. It hasn’t been confirmed whether this is a work or a shoot, but people close to Corey Graves are claiming that the situation is real.

Ahead of NXT this week it was reported that Graves was spotted at the airport leaving Orlando. Graves lives in the Pittsburgh area, not Orlando, and he was not at rehearsals for NXT on Tuesday.

A WWE higher up pointed out last week that the company constantly shuffles the commentary teams, and also said that they would be shocked if Graves wasn’t back on Raw or SmackDown by the spring. Corey Graves had previously received praise for being flexible when it comes to his schedule and role with the company.

Corey Brennan of Fightful Select reportedly asked about Corey Graves in NXT this week and was told that Graves being moved to NXT legitimately frustrated him. There’s no word on anyone in talent, or production who was aware of the move ahead of time as it’s being said that many were surprised to see Corey Graves at NXT New Year’s Evil.

Corey Graves re-signed with WWE in January of 2024 and has at least a couple years left on his deal with the company.
