A number of big names were at the Intuit Dome for the Raw premiere on Netflix earlier this week. During the show Hulk Hogan made an appearance and he tried to cut a promo, but the fans at the arena loudly booed the former WWE Champion.
A source told Daily Mail that Hulk Hogan expected to be cheered during his appearance on Raw earlier this week, so he was instantly disappointed by the reaction he received.
“Did Hulk think he was going to be cheered? Especially bringing out Jimmy Hart, who everyone likes, and who was also waving an American flag at the time… that is a resounding yes!”
“So, when he came out, got booed, and then went to the back after his promo, he was instantly disappointed that the fans turned on him. But he wasn’t p***ed!”
It was noted that although Hulk Hogan was disappointed by the initial reaction, he thought about it a little bit more and is excited about how things turned out. Now Hogan is reportedly looking to take advantage of the reaction.
The source claimed that there have already been discussions about making Hogan a heel next time he appears on WWE programming because it previously worked wonders for his career.
“So by giving the fans what they want, you get what you want, and for them that is the adulation. Hogan and some of the writers have since talked and whenever Hogan comes back, if he were to be booed, they are going to expect it and lean into it 100%. Plans are for Hogan to be a bad guy again and to help out a future storyline with another wrestler,” the source claimed.
At this point in time it’s not clear when Hulk Hogan could make his next appearance on WWE programming, but the company recently announced a multi-year partnership with his Real American Beer brand.
