big e

It’s not often that you get to see Big E on a show like Raw or SmackDown, but earlier this week he made his big return to the red brand for The New Day’s ten year anniversary celebration. Unfortunately for Big E it wasn’t exactly the return he might have been hoping for as Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods turned on him.

Fightful Select reports that back in 2019 all three members of The New Day signed five year deals that would keep them with the company through 2024.

Those no word on the status of Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods, but WWE sources have said that as of this summer they don’t believe that injury time had been added to Big E’s deal.

Big E has been out of action since March of 2022, but it’s not known he ended up re-signing with the company since then. It’s being said that it would make sense for WWE to not add injury time to his deal since it was signed with the expectation being that he would be used as an in-ring talent.

The former champion’s appearances on WWE digital content and panels count towards his deal. It was noted that there’s a chance his contract status has changed, but as of the summer there hasn’t been any word on that being the case.
