Adam Copeland was having quite the run with AEW following his debut at WrestleDream last year, but his momentum was halted when he fractured his tibia during a match with Malakai Black at Double or Nothing back in May. The former TNT Champion jumped off the top of a cage during the match and he suffered the injury when he landed in the ring.
Recently Copeland shared an update on his status during an appearance on The Leafs Nation, and he indicated that he’s ready to get back into the ring.
“I feel good. You know, my brain forgets I’m 51, but my body quickly reminded me: ‘Yeah, you just jumped from 21 feet, a*****e. Like, that’s technically three stories. You’re 51, quit it.’ But I feel good. I’m ready to get back at it and to get busy again.”
Adam Copeland has reportedly been cleared to return to the ring, but he is not expected to return to AEW until he’s done filming season two of “Percy Jackson and the Olympians.” As of right filming for the show is set to finish up in January of 2025.
