Fans have seen a number of WWE departures in recent weeks as several familiar names have been released from their contracts. Now it seems that another wrestler is on their way out.
Fightful Select reports that Scrypts, formerly known as Reggie, has a contract with WWE that is set to expire at the beginning of June. Scrypts has reportedly been informed that the deal will be expiring and he will become a free agent.
It’s being said that Scrypts expected his deal to not be renewed, but that he plans to continue wrestling and he will likely use the name Sidney Akeem moving forward.
Scrypts original signed with WWE in 2020 and used the name Reginald while working as a valet for Carmella on the main roster. After some time on the main roster he debuted as Scrypts in NXT in 2022. Currently Scrypts is still part of the NXT brand.
