Business has certainly picked up for the wrestling world over the last few months and it was recently confirmed that Kazuchika Okada is set to part ways with New Japan Pro Wrestling. Rumors have been making the rounds claiming that Okada is WWE bound with a possible NXT run on the horizon, but it doesn’t seem like that’s the case just yet.
Fightful Select is reporting that sources close to NJPW have claimed that’s not the case as of right now. It was noted that at this point Okada is still early on in his process.
A WWE higher up commented on the rumors on said, “that would be news to us at this point.” Multiple sources on the NXT staff also claimed they’ve heard nothing about Okada joining the brand.
On the AEW side it’s being reported that numerous people in the company believe All Elite Wrestling is still in the running to land Kazuchika Okada.
It’s believed that at this point anything can happen when it comes to Okada, but so far nothing has been confirmed. Stay tuned for updates.
