Seth Rollins won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship back in May of 2023 and since then he’s been a fighting champion. Rollins successfully defended the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Jinder Mahal, but it was later reported that he suffered a torn MCL and a partially torn meniscus.

CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins has been rumored for WrestleMania 40 for months now and talk about whether or not the potential match will happen has picked up over the last few days.

Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that as of Friday the Seth Rollins vs. CM Punk match was still scheduled for WrestleMania. Plans could change, but as of right now Seth Rollins is still scheduled for WrestleMania 40.

It’s being said that Seth is dealing with a significant injury. The severity of the injury is unknown so it’s not clear how long he might he out. If he’s out for a month then WWE will likely carry on with their plans. If it’s two months or more WWE could potentially strip Seth Rollins of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

Drew McIntyre and Damian Priest are two names who could potentially step into a feud with CM Punk if Seth Rollins is sidelined for an extended period of time, but Drew’s future with the company is unclear as his deal is set to expire in April.

Stay tuned for updates.
